Privacy Policy
In short
- We collect what we need to run your checkups, and nothing more.
- We read only the public pages of the websites you add.
- We never sell your data, and we don’t use it to train AI models.
- You can delete everything at any time.
1. Who we are
Unvibe (“we”, “us”) runs unvibe.app. We decide how your personal data is used, which makes us the data controller. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It works together with our Terms and Conditions.
2. What we collect
| Data | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Name, email, login provider (Google or GitHub) | You, when you sign up |
| Onboarding answers | Your role, what you built with and your goal | You |
| Websites | Address, name, category, description, audience | You |
| Checkup results | Scores, issues, page audits, AI mentions, competitor comparisons | We create them from public pages |
| Assistant chats | Questions you ask and the replies | You |
| Research results | AI answers to your buyer questions, competitor checkups, page checks and answer pages | We create them from public pages and AI answers |
| Feedback | Messages you send from Help | You |
| Billing | Plan, billing period, last 4 digits of your card | Our payment processor. We never see your full card number. |
| Usage | Pages visited in the app, device and browser type, rough location from your IP address | Automatically |
3. Why we use it
- To run the Service, for example to run checkups, show reports, answer your questions and send fixes. We rely on our contract with you.
- To bill you for paid plans. We rely on our contract with you and our legal duties.
- To send emails you turned on, like alerts and weekly summaries. You can switch them off in Settings. We rely on your consent.
- To keep Unvibe safe and working, for example to stop abuse and fix bugs. We rely on our legitimate interests.
- To improve Unvibe using usage figures that can’t identify you. We rely on our legitimate interests.
4. AI provider
Unvibe uses a third-party AI provider for its AI features, under a contract that doesn’t let it use your data to train its models. For a checkup we send it the public text of your homepage and the details you gave about your app. For AI mentions we send your buyer questions, without your personal details. The assistant receives your question and the relevant parts of your report. Answer pages are written from your app’s details.
Each person has a daily limit on AI requests so the service stays fair and affordable.
5. Websites we read
Checkups, page checks and competitor checkups fetch public pages, robots.txt and sitemaps from the websites you add, the way AI crawlers do. We only read what anyone on the internet can see, and we never log in to a site.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your websites, reports and chats within 30 days. Backups are cleared within a further 60 days. We keep billing records for as long as tax law requires.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can:
- see the data we hold about you and get a copy of it
- correct it, or have it deleted
- object to or limit how we use it
- take back your consent, for example to emails, at any time
- complain to your local data protection authority
You can do most of this yourself in Settings. For anything else, email us and we’ll reply within 30 days.
10. Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, limit which staff can access it, and keep connection tokens separate from other data. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we’ll tell you as the law requires.
11. Transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country. When they do, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, so your data gets the same level of protection.
12. Children
Unvibe isn’t for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has signed up, tell us and we’ll delete the account.
13. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll email you or show a notice in the app before the change takes effect.
14. Contact
If you have a privacy question or request, email [email protected].
